Aaron Francis is an alternative singer/songwriter with a jazz/alt-country slant and emphasis on lyrics and
instrumentation.
Having focused on bands and production of other artist’s music in the past, not all of Aaron's songs are
new, but a solo career is "renewed" with plans to release a fully produced album (digital and vinyl) in
2022 as well as a previously unreleased, self-produced album from 2004.
Songs from both projects are currently being released as singles on a monthly basis appearing on
Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and several other digital platforms.
History
1994 - Aaron Francis (Weinzapfel) founded the band Terminal Hinge as guitarist/singer,
along with bass player Karl Stottlemyer, and drummer Phil Regas.
Their self-titled debut was released on cassette only.
TH added Scott Kiekbusch to take over lead singing duties for their 5
song EP Ego Kill, released in 1995, the band’s first release on CD.
The band moved on from Scott in 1996 bringing on Daniel Weinzapfel as the new
singer for their 3rd release, a full-length album titled Any Dog Will Do.
1998 – Aaron stood in as the bass player for the Denver/Portland band The Minders for their “Hooray
For Tuesday” national tour.
2001 – Aaron formed the band Blue Light Soul with Bob Grenz, Brian Deckebach, and T-Bone (David
Gutierrez). BLS played the Denver circuit and became a well-known face in the Denver music scene.
2002 – Aaron Francis started recording solo on a Tascam digital 4-track recorder between Denver and
Portland ME, eventually recording 8 finished songs for the unreleased album “For the Love of the
Devil”. The finished tracks (2004) are scheduled to be released as singles throughout 2022 and 2023,
with a vinyl release to follow.
2008 – Aaron recorded and produced the album “Cold Lonely Feeling”
for brother and former Terminal Hinge singer Dan Weinzapfel under the
stage name Daniel Roman. CDs are still in circulation and the entire
album is available on Spotify and YouTube.
